Niestrudzony Moritz Bunkus z regularnością godną pochwały raczy nas od 13 lat coraz to nowymi wersjami swojego programu do obróbki formatu Matroska. Zatem nie powinna zdziwić nas niedawna premiera MKVToolNix 9.4.2, które to wydanie pojawiło się w tym samym dniu co 9.4.1. Powodem była wykryta regresja w obsłudze AVC i HEVC i konieczność naprawy tego niedopatrzenia.

Wydany 11 września MKVToolNix 9.4.2 „Black Rain” (ach ta niepoprawna symbolika dat i nazw) jest zestawem narzędzi do manipulacji zawartością popularnego kontenera treści multimedialnych Matroska. Lista zmian obejmuje głównie poprawki napotkanych i zgłoszonych błędów, oraz sprecyzowanie zachowań podczas odczytu specyficznie spreparowanych plików wideo (z wykrytą szerokością bądź wysokością piksela równą lub mniejszą zeru). Program w wersji dla Ubuntu 16.04 lub Minta 18.xx możemy zainstalować po dodaniu klucza i repozytorium:

Następnie dodajemy do /etc/apt/sources.list:
